Commissioning

The last night of the Family Weekend was our commissioning. It was a sweet time of prayer and vision for all of us, who are going to 12 different countries all over the world!

Our family

a sweet friend Meredith, who is heading around the world with us

Rush and Meredith and our ICS coach, Ken

Everett, Reid, Evan, and Timothy

The boys with Luke, a wonderfully fun guy who played with the kids all summer long

The boys with Collin--a teen who grew up in Greece, and moved to America about 2 years ago. He was SO great for our boys this summer--was really able to relate to a lot of the things they are going through.

Praying for the kids who are going out as missionaries to world!

The kids did A LOT of this in Colorado

playing outside in the apartment complex with SO many FUN friends!!

It was such a sweet blessing for our kids to have these fun friends to play with all summer. All of these kids are either living overseas or have lived overseas for a part of their life. They can all relate to the transitions everyone is going through at different times.

Ry smelling the flowers

Kids on a Mission

While we were in training this summer the kids went to a program called MK2MK (missionary kid 2 missionary kid). The absolutey LOVED it! It is such a great program for kids who live overseas. The whle training was a cross-cultural training, and the kids did a lot of that too! They got to eat foods from different cultures, practice different customs, and they even had an "airport day" where they got to experience what it is like to buy tickets, get visas, and all the right paperwork for traveling when the person helping you speaks a different language!

One night during Family Weekend the kids put on a play called Kids on a Mission. They had practiced all summer long and did a great job!

Ry's class did a song called the Gospel Fuzzies and it was so cute! All the colors stood for part of the gospel story.

The bigs did a longer play about kids reaching the world for Christ.
So great!

The whole crew!

My superstars! Everett had 3 lines and one was a Bible verse the was really long!

Rockin' out on the stage when it was over.

Rocky Mountain National Park

One Saturday that we had off from our training drove up into Rocky Mountain National Park. It was a bit rainy (and hailed a little!) but we had a great time!

Late night birthday decorations!

After Rylie went to bed the night before her birthday, the boys got busy decorating the apartment for her!
They had bought some Birthday Princess streamers and pink balloons earlier in the day and were so excited to decorate for her!

Fun birthday door!

Birthday balloon flower :)

Paci Fairy!

So Rylie had a sort of love affair with her paci. She only had it when she slept, but she LOVED it. We decided that 3 was way a bit too old to have a paci, so the night before her birthday she left her pacis in a bag by the door for the paci fairy!

Really excited!

Bag o pacis

The paci fairy left her these two stuffed animals. She LOVES them and snuggles with them every night instead of making out with sucking on her paci!
She has really done SO well! We are so proud of her!
